Pesto originated in the city of Genoa in the Liguria region of northern Italy. The name derived from pestâ ("to pound, to crush", from the Latin root of word pestle), in reference to the crushed herbs and garlic in the sauce.
We use the same humble ingredients used from the beginning and same simple process, but with a bit of a twist to make this creamy, rich sauce which is not only great with pasta dishes but also with baguettes, garlic bread, pizzas, canopies, jacket potatoes, mash potatoes, vegetables, salads, fish and meat.
Any one of our 190g tubs will serve four of your favourite people and for baguettes/sandwich bars we produce a 0.5Kg and 1Kg tubs. |
